About

 After graduating and receiving a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Taxation degree from USC, University of Southern California, in 2004, I worked for a reputable accounting firm in Westwood, California, providing full services to high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. As fate has it, I called the Pacific Northwest home in 2010, and joined a Big 4 public accounting firm, Deloitte, providing tax compliance and consulting service to private clients (high net worth individuals and their families), flow through entities, real estate investment trust, private equity and venture capital firms, trusts and estates. After 7 years with Deloitte, I decided to leave public accounting, the most difficult decision I ever made, to join a family-owned company, as Tax Director, leading their tax department. While in working here, I realized I was still “practicing public accounting” but just for the family and their businesses. This experience working at a privately held company taught me invaluable lessons, from gaining an in-depth understanding of what really matters to business owners in running a profitable and successful business to how to communicate effectively with various key stakeholders in executing business strategies in a tax efficient manner. However, after successfully leading the company through a financial statement audit after a mid-year accounting system conversion and implementation of automated sales & use tax software, I felt the urge to go back to public accounting where I can broadly use my skills and years of experience both in public and private to help other businesses and owners thrive and achieve their financial and tax goals. 

I’m an active CPA and licensed in both Washington and California. That means I held myself to the highest standards regulated by both states. I’m a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, running, swimming, and practicing yoga.
